Chapter I : Love, Missions and a Legend
She giggled softly as he held her in his arms under the not so starry night of Station Square. Her name was Rose, she was a chocolate brown hedgehog, and her quills and ears were tipped a bright yellow color. Yet, some of her bands hung loosely around her left eye. Her brown eyes looked up to her lover who was a yellow hedgehog known as Joe, his ruby colored eyes looked back down to her brown eyes. What Rose was wearing was very simple a black tank top that showed her mid-riff. Her black baggy jeans have several pockets around the waist and hips. , She was gloveless and barefoot at the moment because she just needed to relax. Joe was wearing something casual as well, which was a partly loosely fitting red t-shirt and a pair of blue baggy somewhat carpenter looking jeans, a pair of regular sunglasses sat perched on his forehead. He nuzzled her neck, but the peaceful moment didn’t last a minute before there was a soft knocking on the door, Joe gave Rose a quick kiss on the cheek before turning to go to the door to see who it was. He opened the door to see two seven foot tall very slim robots in the doorway. The robots were pitch black with a bit of paint fading to see their original grayish color. Their bodies looked like a mechanical skeleton, with fingers looking more like claws. They were partly armored and partly not. There was a large gleaming energy core in the torso itself that acted like a heart. They wore large leather cloaks with hoods; the hoods were up to hide their face from the rain. Their faces were oh-so similar to that of a gas mask only the lenses of their ‘gas masks’ were blood red and had a faint light acting like eyes behind each lens. They took down their hood and pulled up a six inch antennae out of the right side of their head and asked Joe quickly, “Is this the residence of Rose the hedgehog?”
Joe slowly nodded letting them inside as they both walked in one behind the other. Then without any warning they walked straight into Joe’s bedroom, it was odd how did they know exactly where it was? They looked at Rose for a few seconds; she was looking to them they sent chills down her spine, they resembled someone she thought she knew, but who? “Umm… ye…” Rose was about to ask what they were doing in here, but she was cut off by one of them speaking, “We are here before you today. By the behalf of Lord Draesic, who requests a favor of you. A mission if you would prefer to call it that. “ Rose blinked before nodding wondering who they were talking about. The drones then continued, “He would like you to kill someone who calls himself ‘Kaoz’. Kaoz is a cyber-robotic being who is on board a flagship known as the ‘Genocide’ which is actually on the water for now anyways. He is willing to pay the amount you ask for, but he’d let you decide how much you want at the end of it all. Lord Draesic has heard of you before and he sent us to find you as quickly as we could. So do you accept the offer he graciously bestows upon you?” The drone finished up looking down to Rose, Rose was blinking and gave a nod at the time with a shrug , she needed another mission and there weren’t to many people who actually came up and offered you up any amount of money you’d want either. “Good, we’ll be back soon to give you more details..” The robot said before quickly exiting and slamming the door behind them. Joe watched them dumb-founded on how they jut barged in basically and had Rose take up a mission. He sat on the bed next to her as he wrapped his arms around her, while Rose was still trying to think why those robots looked so creepily familiar to her. She gave a small sigh as then turned her attention back to Joe and tonight would be a good thing because it would be the only time she would ever feel this way again for several months.
